	1. Dress Appropriately - First impressions matter. Showing up for a job interview in anything less than a suit and a tie shows that you are not taking the job or those interviewing you seriously.

	2. Research the Company You Want to Work For - If you are serious about working at Company XYZ, it is important to do all the research about that company so that you can explain why you want to work there and why you are the perfect fit for the company.

	3. Nobody Likes a Liar - Be careful how you answer those questions an interviewer asks. Lying about where you worked, where you went to school, the tasks you accomplished at your job, and even your salary could come back to haunt you when the company runs a background check to make sure you are the right fit.

	4. Never Bad Mouth Your Boss - Why do you want to leave your job? “I want to leave because my boss is a miserable tyrant who lies to me and treats me like dirt. I can’t work for him anymore.” Even if you cannot stand your current boss, there are more professional ways to answer the question without sounding like someone who would be difficult to work with. Be diplomatic. You want to show that you value your work, your experience and your future. You want to show you have ambition without demonstrating a lack of respect.
